Use case
A school renovates its pitched roof. Instead of new clay tiles plus panels on racks, the roof is covered with Mingyang PV tiles.
The roof keeps a uniform appearance, and the energy it generates supplies classrooms and the gym.
How it works
Replaces the roof covering
PV tiles take the place of traditional glazed, clay or metal tiles, so the roof itself generates power.
Two technologies
Planar tiles are available in CdTe thin film and in HJT; curved tiles are planned for 2027.
Proven on buildings
Manufacturer references include Chengdu Wanhui School, Yucun Impression Library and the Pixian agricultural tourism project in Sichuan.
