The outer glass of each LIGHT module is coloured enamel glass made by Far East Green Energy. From outside you see a uniform façade or roof panel, and the cells behind it generate up to 210 W/m² for the building.

About Far East Green Energy
Far East Green Energy Technology (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. was established in 2024 as the green building and energy company of the Far East group, under CSCEC (Hong Kong). The group’s curtain wall brand, Far East Facade, was founded in Hong Kong in 1969 and has delivered more than 1,000 curtain wall projects in 13 countries and regions.
Its BIPV production line started in May 2025 and makes fritted glass and BIPV modules in different sizes. The company has its own frit laboratory, holds 96 patents and offers BIPV products, EPC and energy management.

Why ceramic-glazed BIPV
A façade material first, a power plant second, and both at the same time.
Looks like a façade
Coloured enamel glass hides the cells. The panel reads as stone, metal or a uniform colour, not as a solar module.
Active and passive in one colour
Where the façade gets no sun, panels in the same finish keep the elevation uniform.
Mounts like cladding
Fixed to a façade substructure or roof rails, like aluminium or stone panels, in new buildings and renovations.
Connected to the building
Production goes to storage, EV chargers and the SPACE dashboard together with access and occupancy data.

LIGHT Pro Facade
A module for ventilated façades that replaces aluminium and stone panels. Double glass (3.2 mm coloured enamel glass and 2 mm semi-tempered glass) with 144 back-contact (ABC) cells and a metal strengthening structure, fixed with embedded nuts and bolts.

LIGHT Plus: the lighter module
A full-screen module with a hidden frame for façades and rooftops. At 45 kg it is lighter than LIGHT Pro, so it suits renovations and roofs where the load on the existing structure matters. According to the manufacturer, its wind pressure resistance is three times that of traditional modules.

LIGHT Pro Roof
The roof version of LIGHT Pro for metal roofs, large halls and coastal buildings, in the same colours as the façade, with a metal strengthening structure behind the glass.

Colours and power
Five standard colours: Dawn Blue, Slate Gray and Sage Green (200–210 W/m²), Antique Gold (160–170 W/m²) and Ruby Red (150–160 W/m²). Glossy or matte appearance, other colours on request.
Power per m² depends on the colour; lighter colours produce less.

Custom fritted-glass finishes
For architects who need a specific look, Far East makes custom colours (Champagne Gold, Dark Grey, Mistweave White, Forest Green, Amber Bronze) and stone patterns (Haimarble, Rockstone, Elegrotto, Rhythmstone) in its own frit laboratory.

Certificates issued to Far East Photovoltaic Technology (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., Zhuhai, as published by the manufacturer:
- TÜV Rheinland certificate PV 50661663 0001: PV modules tested to IEC 61215-1/-1-1/-2:2021, IEC 61730-1/-2:2023 and the EN versions. Valid from 23 January 2025 until 22 January 2030.
- TÜV Rheinland certificate PV 50663191 0001: BIPV module tested to 2 PfG 2796/02.22. Valid from 24 January 2025 until 22 January 2030.
- TÜV NORD certificate 44 780 24 406749-225: crystalline silicon PV modules, IEC/EN 61215:2021 and IEC/EN 61730:2016/2018. Valid from 8 July 2024 until 7 July 2029.
- TÜV NORD certificates of conformity with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (EN IEC 61730-1/-2:2018), Nos. 44 799 24 406749-230 and -226, issued in July 2024.
- TÜV NORD certificate 44 780 24 406749-276: salt mist corrosion test IEC/EN 61701:2020, test method 6. Valid from 15 July 2024 until 14 July 2029.
The lists of covered models are in the certificate annexes, and we confirm them for each project. The manufacturer also reports Class A fire rating (IEC 61730 / UL 790), air tightness EN A4, water tightness RE and 15.4 kPa wind pressure in EN/BS curtain wall tests. Building-product documents for façades in the EU (CE marking under the Construction Products Regulation, fire classification) are confirmed for each project.

Curtain walls and windows
LIGHT modules work in ventilated façades and on roofs. For glazed curtain walls, windows and doors in the same project we work with SPK Windows, and for semi-transparent PV glass with Mingyang.
